As seems to be my pattern, all of my blood tests came back great. I still don't really know what the numbers mean, but the ones that we want to go up are going up and the ones we want to go down are going down. Clint came this morning and I kicked his @#* at Yahtzee. I get pretty anxious by about 2 hours into treatment and I just want out of there. Today was #4 of 12, so I am 1/3 done with Chemo. Yah! I am having a CT scan on Friday to see if we are shrinking the tumors. Those results will be back for my next treatment, which is on TUESDAY, yes, TUESDAY, April 24. After that we will go back to Monday treatments. I am very excited/nervous to get those results back. I have to believe that it is working, the other option is just not an option.
Clint and I have been wanting to take a trip together and we have booked it. We are going to Puerto Rico in May for a quick sun, sand and casino getaway. Waiting is just killing me. My passport expires in June so we had to go get another stamp!
I got some really great gifts for my birthday, so thank you to all. The tulips were beautiful, steaks were delicious, music was great, and all the countless niceties are and were really great. Thank you to everyone, and someday I will be back to being in touch with you on a different level. Connie K, please send Mary my best wishes. I am thinking about her, and hoping for a speedy recovery. Jellyfish!
Hope you all had a great Easter!

We are all so glad you were born you know. You are a gift to all who know and love you. It was good seeing you today at the rec center. You do look well. I am so glad you and Clint will have a fun trip. As they used to say in World War 2 damn the torpedos, full speed ahead. Mary continues to do well but I worry about that poor jellyfish!!!
Liz, you are indeed a gift! Glad to hear the numbers are changing in good ways. I'm anxious to hear about that grapefruit you were carrying around. SO GLAD to hear you're going on a trip--sounds romantic (but isn't anything without kids?) Heard Jesse's first communion was very touching. God bless him and you and the rest of the boys. xxoo the white bellies (Tommy and Nick are known as the "white brothers" around the neighborhood, like "wright brothers", get it?)
Liz,
Mike has been thinking of you and collecting brochures from the Gulf of Mexico. We want you to visit the little beach house with or without the boys.
So glad to hear the counts are down. The tumors have no choice but to disappear.
Hugs,
Theresa
Dear Liz---I'm so impressed with you bravery & strength. Love & hugs always-gmapat
Hey Blizzard! I'm headed into Quindao this morning after 2 days in Hong Kong and two (more) days at sea. The mists are low and thick so we see no land yet though we ought to be docking in the next two hours. Today I'll try to get into a city park to watch people and write a lecture (we're passing a little sampan fishing boat in the mist). Tomorrow I lead a filed trip to Taoist, Buddhist, and Christian holy places. Counting on our tour guide for expertise! Three fingers might be feeling a bit like your face after a treatment, but otherwise I'm recovering from the reaction I had to the jf. I think of you often and how much fun you would be as a traveling buddy. Am hugely transformed by my friendship with the theatre prof on board--she's a lymphoma cancer survivor. You ought to see her transform a room of people with a set of games that use our bodies. I'llsend out my prayers from the deck of the ship in the mist of the China Sea. All my love, mlk
Liz, this is my first shot at a blog! Want you to know that you (and your boys!) have been in my prayers, and I'm glad to hear that the news you've had so far is good news. I'm impressed by your strength and resolve, and hope that your most positive attitude and faith in God will keep you on the uphill journey to success!
